What Did You
Do to Get Breast Cancer?
There are a lot of uninformed people out
there. Some of them are in our own our families.
Six years ago this April, I went through a
bilateral mastectomy. The day after my surgery my sister finally
came to visit me (not in the hospital, but at home). She asked me,
"What did you do to get breast cancer, Annie?"
I was so shocked I could not believe my
ears. I told her, "I was born into this family... when was your
last mammogram?"
