Can't Stop Hormones!
A couple of weeks after I finished
chemo, I ran into an old friend. We were talking about the fact that
my oncologist had taken me off of hormones because of my breast
cancer. I told her about my hot flashes and she started telling me
about some kind of progesterone cream to help prevent them. When I
told her my oncologist had told me not to take any hormones at all
she said, "Well, don't you know if you don't take any hormones
you will grow hair on your face and your voice will get deep like a
man's?"
