Favorite from my boss
I think my favorite was from my boss when I told her I had cancer:
"Do you think it went to your brain?" Then her next words were, "I think we
are going to have to let you go."
She was pretty heartless. I have a rare and terminal type of cancer. I was 35
at the time, and a hospice nurse. “Nice” to be understood by the very people
who are supposed to be providing care. A large-scale investigation was done
after these comments into her communication practices and she is no longer
working for the hospital. I am stilled employed by them.
