Sure lady, you're crazy!!!
"Wow, I can relate to this.....I had chemo for breast cancer in 1988....and it just seems to be getting worse with age...I am 53 years old and I sometimes feel like a child again...most of the time I can't remember. It seems to be mostly short term memory. I can tell you things that happened to me as a child, but usually can't remember what happed a few moments ago. It is so frustrating to me......
For instance, last week, I went to take a class on CPR and First aid. I have taken the class many times before and I know how to do it, well during the test I had a memory loss and couldn't remember anything about it, I told the instructor I had chemo brain and needed some extra time to get it myself together.....he looked at me like I had 3 eyes or something.
For instance, today, I went to the dentist and he was asking me questions about my past dental history....Well I couldn't remember much, which just made me feel worst as he looked at me like I was some sort of idiot. I explained to him I had chemo and now I have short term memory problems....he just looked at me like I was crazy, I thought I was going to cry just because I felt so embarrassed as he looked at me as to say Sure Lady you're crazy!!!!!
I have tried taking focus factor and it helps a little. If anyone else knows of something that could help more please let me know..."
Thanks,
Deb
